The original Netscape Navigator was purchased by AOL and later discontinued in 2008. However, AOL recently brought the Netscape browser back from the dead in late 2024… sort of. Today’s version is basically the Chromium browser rebranded with some Netscape references and advertisements for AOL’s paid services.
