Should I click it? š¬

Microsoft Bob dropped in March 1995, and letās be realāit was one of Microsoftās weirdest plays. It was supposed to make Windows easier by throwing a cartoonish interface over it, complete with a dog named Rover and a bunch of āroomsā youād click through instead of menus. The idea? Help new users feel less intimidated by their PC. But Bob floppedāhard. People hated the clunky design, it needed way too much RAM for the time, and it just didnāt click. It barely lasted a year, with no real updates past the initial release before it quietly vanished. But hereās the kicker: even though Bob was a failure, it planted the seeds for stuff like Clippy and todayās digital assistants. So yeah, Bob was a punchlineābut it was also ahead of its time.
